Course Syllabus

In this workshop, students will learn about the purpose and usage of Docker and will be able to apply it to a practical purpose such as a webserver. We will go over basic Docker commands, Dockerfiles, docker-compose files, usage of Docker volumes, and networking with Docker. There will be a hands-on exercise of the creation of a Docker container and how to commit and push an image to Dockerhub. The workshop will also go over a more practical use of a Docker container through the creation of an Apache webserver using a single Docker container.
